Looking for romantic restaurant, preferably with outdoor dining, in Somerville area

for Anniversary dinner. Doesn't need to be ocean view. Preferably half hour from Somerville. I was looking at the Stone House in Warren. Anyone been? All recommendations are appreciated.

Although Char does offer al fresco dining, it would not be my first choice. Although there is a berm separating the patio from busy Route 202, it does not eliminate the noise from the highway.

I am not familiar with outside dining at Stone House but I have heard very favorable comments about the restaurant itself.

Since this is an anniversary dinner, and therefore a special occasion, why not consider driving down to the Delaware River and having dinner there. My choice would be the deck at the Black Bass Hotel. Much nicer than Route 202!

I don't know if the ocean view was a joke but you are more than 3mins from Somervillle for that. If you are a steak eater I would strongly recconend Char Steakhouse in Raritan NJ (on 206 I believe) they have a beautiful outdoor patio. If the weather isn't good the interior of the restaurant is very nice and contemporary with plenty of cozy private booths.

Yes, the ocean view was a joke. Would have to travel a bit more than half hour for that. Thank you for your rec ... might have to check it out. I drive by that a lot and the tables look very cute outside.
