wedding/meal
My partner and i are coming over to Boston for a week in December from Scotland. We are on vacation and visiting friends as well. We are looking at getting married while across(type of eloping as family and friends back home dont know). We will only have 6 and our 1 year old son including us for ceremony and evening meal.
We are looking for somewhere small and cheap for our ceremony???Anywhere to be honest....
The main part of our day will be our meal where we are looking for a nice resteraunt with a private are where we can have beautiful meal.
Any help on ceremony ideas and resteraunts would be great!

I'll bring this up even though its not food related, as its pretty critical to know - there's a 3 day waiting period for a marriage license in MA; otherwise you have to go in front of a judge..
Otherwise, my wife and I did our pre-marriage family dinner at Gracies in Providence and it was quite good..
Any possibility of hitting Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun, I wonder if they have nice canned ceremonies..

We are looking at a number of resteraunts, that doesnt seem to be a problem, we have had good response so far.
Its the ceremony we are struggling with, we have found places like
http://www.thecollegeclubofboston.com/event-rates-and-policies-44.html
http://www.arrowheadacres.com/pricing...Places that offer ceremonies for $200-500. That is perfect for our small group followed by a fancy meal. If anyone has any suggestions for places we could hold our ceremony that would be great!

We really like to help visitors on this board and so more specifics would help. What is your budget? Anywhere is well, anywhere...preferred food types....? Do you need special arrangements for the son or will you be bringing his food? for ceremony, do you mean you want to have legal marriage ceremony or a commitment ceremony? Do you want a two places, one for a cheap meal with a ceremony and then a later, private room at a restaurant with a more upscale menu? We can give advice here only about places that serve food or the moderators will remove the posts. There is a restaurant in the Jamaica Plain neighborhood of Boston that serves supposedly authentic Scottish food...or are you looking for something you can't get in Scotland?
Please, tell us more so we can help.
