Finally was able to score some reservations for this Friday night. What are some can't miss items to order?

We really enjoyed the foie gras dish, poutine, crab and avocado, carrots, and the apple dessert is the best.

the only things that stood out to me (but they were transcendent) were the carrots dish and apple dessert. everything else i tried was interesting but not particularly good.

the brussels sprouts with pig ears is one of the dishes i'm looking forward to most. Sounds super interesting.

Of the dishes I tried, I liked the giant squid spaghetti the best.

The brussel sprouts were a cop out in my opinion. All it did was combine 2 of the trendiest ingredients these days. The brussel sprouts at Red Medicine are tastier. The pig ears at Lazy Ox are better.

I walked away with the same impression as namstermonster: interesting, but not particularly good.

I too was underwhelmed after 2 visits.
Really hope it improves (as Red Med did) with time.

yeah but they don't combine it in one dish ;)

They don't have to. Each dish is delicious on its own :)

Add me to the underwhelmed group but there were 2 great dishes out of the 6 we tried.
            1. Chickpea poutine - the chickpeas were made into long tubular like french fries. Great gravy made from lamb neck. I preferred this version to Animal because you could eat a much larger portion without being overwhelmed by the richness of the cheese and gravy.
            2. Pork belly (I think) with mac n cheese. The mac n cheese was one long tube of pasta with a delicious creamy cheese filling. The bite of pork and mac n cheese was amazing. I don't see this dish on the menu right now.

I was pretty disappointed by everything else.

that's a bummer. I did hear that the pork belly is amazing. I've been wanting to try this place since they opened, so I guess I will just go in with lower expectations and see for myself.
