Some ideas: Mexican - Toledo's, Sal's, Plaza Ventana, Basque - Santa Fe, or Shepherds Inn General dining - Upstairs Downtown, there's also a small place in Clovis, but I cannot remember the name (Casa???) Italian - Dicicco's, La Gondola, Parma's (I've never been impressed with La Rocca's) Steak - Tahoe Joe's (if you don't mind a wait) Pacific Seafood If you like Asian (Chinese or Japanese), there's Yoshino's, Japanese Kitchen, Dei Bei Deng (sp) (actually there's no shortage of Asian food in Fresno) Hope this helps some.
