Can't help you with Tualre or Hanford, but Clovis-Fresno have several good restaurants, it just depends on your tastes. Some ideas:

Mexican - Toledo's, Sal's, Plaza Ventana,
Basque - Santa Fe, or Shepherds Inn
General dining - Upstairs Downtown, there's also a small place in Clovis, but I cannot remember the name (Casa???)
Italian - Dicicco's, La Gondola, Parma's (I've never been impressed with La Rocca's)
Steak - Tahoe Joe's (if you don't mind a wait)
Pacific Seafood

If you like Asian (Chinese or Japanese), there's Yoshino's, Japanese Kitchen, Dei Bei Deng (sp) (actually there's no shortage of Asian food in Fresno)

Hope this helps some.

Isn't there a famous restaurant in Hanford called Imperial Garden? I think Hanford is supposed to have the best milk shake at a place called Superior something.

If the Imperial Dynasty is still there, it is supposed to be one of the best Chinese restaurants around. There is also an ice cream creamery there, but I can't remember the name. I've never been to either.
