Mexican deli food -- buy it cold & cook at home?

Looking for a place that sells un-cooked enchiladas etc to heat at home. Hollywood, West Hollywood or the Valley preferred. Gallegos in West LA closed recently (boohoo!) Many thanks!

Vallarta Markets has a large selection of take-out food. I haven't tried their enchiladas however. Trader Joes was carrying frozen Corn Maiden enchiladas. Not sure if they still do.

For frozen I thought the Amy's enchiladas were quite good. Better than some restaurant enchiladas I've had...

For Gallegos like Enchiladas... there are the enchiladas at Magees in the Farmers Market on 3rd and Fairfax....

Are there any of the Mexican markets around town that you like for take home "heat and eat" food, Dommy?

Not for Enchiladas. Generally I make my own Mexican food at home or when I want catering, I go to a favorite Mexican restaurant and pick up trays (Taqueria Sanchez & Sazon Latin Fusion is our current favorite). Most will do it for you...

Sazon...great idea! I didn't even think about the fact that they would do this. How much for a tray and how many is that? You obviously call them in advance. Do they need more than a days notice to have them ready? Sorry for all the questions but now I'm excited (and drooling).

Oh, it's been a good two years since I last was in a lurch so just needed some basics from her (Rice, beans, flan) It was all very well priced for a party of about 30. And of course, Claudia as always was a complete doll about it. Call her about a week in advance (more if you can) and she can hook you up with trays of her famous flan, bread pudding, salads, taco meat... whatever!
