Krispy Kreme on McCaul

I just noticed the sign today in what was briefly a tattoo shop just south of Baldwin. Now that there's a Wild Wing place I wonder what Baldwin will look like in a few years? This isn't a lament, I like KK and welcome it to the neighbourhood.

I take it it's going to be another Krispy Kreme Cafe like the one on Harbord. In other words, no freshly-baked donuts (shipped from Mississauga)

I didn't know that the one on Harbord has the doughnuts shipped in from Mississauga. I wonder if they're baked there or come partially frozen from a plant some where like Tim Horton's? Also, shouldn't it be called "Krispy Kreme Kafe?"

You can see doughnuts being fried in the doughnut machine at the Mississauga location, although I have a feeling that the batter being feed into the machine is from a mix.

I was at the KKD in Mississauga today. Great deal going. If you buy a 25 dollar gift card you get a dozen original glazed free. Yummmmm

The McCaul location is open. There are three small two-person tables and some stools in front and in back there's a lounge area with a TV and some leather-looking chairs.
