Early morning arrival (and Japadog question!)
Will be arriving in Vancouver at 8am, and hotel check-in is not until later afternoon so we're planning to do some sight-seeing first as well as getting something to eat.
However coming from Toronto it will be 11am Toronto time (and we'll most likely be in the mood for lunch) when we arrive, so I'm wondering what will be open that early.
Will any of the Japadog locations be open? The website doesn't list any hours.
Any other recs for a decent, reasonably priced and not too heavy breakfast -- as we'd probably want to go to Japadog for lunch when they do open and plan on hitting Guu right at 5pm when it opens (as we'll have the kids with us).

re: Georgia Strait
Japadog is unique to Vancouver (tho I believe they have a place in NY now).
They're hot-dogs covered in Japanese ingredients (ie., teriyaki w/japanese mayo, nori, etc).
They use crappy hot-dogs and shitty buns -- i don't get why they're popular. Vancouver isn't much of a hot-dog city but is a major japanese food city, so maybe we have low expectations of the dog itself and are impressed w/ the japanese crap.

re: islandgirl
I like the brats with oroshidaikon and the ume. I also like the kurobota pork. The other dogs are pretty ordinary. I find the terimayo, which I think is the most popular hotdog there, way too sweet for my tastes. Japadog is definitely not for old-school hotdog aficionados. It is like the california roll of hot dogs.
