Was curious to try the 2010. We were living in Sonoma when the 2008 was released. The rumor wasn't just that it was an Orin Swift style wine, the rumor was that Dave Phinney was the winemaker for Tribunal. The word up north was that TJ's was experimenting with grape purchasing and bottling under made up labels they themselves owned. The rumor continued that some star winemakers got excited by the prospect of large-scale experimentation -- as long as they stayed anonymous. who knows? But the 2008 Tribunal was remarkable by any price and it sold out quickly once word spread.
I must say that the no. CA Trader Joeses have a much better wine selection than down south, which is where I am now-- and shopping at a beach TJ's no less. Probably the worst for good wine.
I think the 2010 is absolutely delicious and beautifully drinkable. More than worth 9.99. But it's no Dave Phinney-rumor- 2008.

re: trolley
Here's some interesting info on Tribunal. It's a Kitchen sink type red using surplus grapes from a variety of sources. All vintages are different blends etc..
