    1. Thanks! I'm making a trip to TO in July to see the Picasso exhibition and deliberately chose to coincide my holiday trip with Summerlicious-;) So many places to eat so little time...

        The menu at Frank (AGO) looks entirely reasonable...Book early, for your day at Picasso...You'll already be on site...

          Thanks for the heads up Dean Tudor. Have you - or anyone - been to Frank? Would it come recommended?

          On another note I was hoping Barberians would be participating this year but I'm out of luck. However I noticed Ruth's Chris is participating. Is it worth the hype or would it be considered overrated?

            I did Frank last year for Summerlicious and it was a good choice. I would go back.

              I looked through some of teh menus. I concluded ,the cheaper the price the better the meal (by description anyway). What do ya'll think?

            Is Frank (AGO) connected with Franki (Victoria Pk) ? Is there a typo?

              Having read your review of Franki and having been to Frank(AGO), I highly doubt there is any connection between the two.

        2. Went to Jump last night for Summerlicious. I have to say.. I was totally underwhelmed, which broke my heart as I like Jump!

          The service as always was perfect... the food.. not so much.

          Most of the table had the Crab Cake start, which was .. ok. The size was fine, it had a large dollop of tartar sauce on top which lay over a bed of shredded beets. The crab cake had a think shell of crumbs, but the inside didn't seem to consist of a lot of crab! To many fillers.

          Another person ordered the BLT salad which was drowning in dressing. Another ordered the watermelon and feta which they said was ok.

          Most of us ordered the Jerk Chicken. It was mostly dark meat boneless chicken, with beans and shredded pineapple. It tasted ok, but again, nothing to rave about. The table all agreed it was mediocre. It wasn't spicy like we thought Jerk should be.
          One other ordered the Thai Salmon. It was a good size that laid over a bed of lettuce. It was not what she expected. It didn't really taste like Thai. The Salmon itself she said was cooked perfectly, but the flavor just wasn't there.

          For desert we ordered the Chocolate Mouse or the Rum cake.

          The rum cake was good. Everyone enjoyed it. It had a cream cheese icing that mixed well with it.

          The Chocolate mouse.... oh boy. How do you mess this up!! It wasn't mouse IMO. It was like Gelatin with a chocolate flavor. The texture was off. It tasted ok but some couldn't get over the odd texture.

          I guess I had higher hopes as I have eaten at Jump and have had great experiences. I know it summerlicious so its cheaper.. but I've eaten at all O&B restaurants during this event, and they where all good. This was just 'meeh'
