In search of sweet bread loaf served at a local diner

We have this very fabulous traditional, greasy spoon diner in town and they serve the most amazing bread loaf with dinner. The top seems to have an egg wash and is sprinkled with sesame seeds however there is a soft, moist inside that is utterly addictive. I have heard whisperings that it involves some sort of cheese mixture though there is no obvious "stringiness" so I would think either a cream cheese or goat cheese like cheese. It tastes somewhat but not overly sweet. I have never had this bread anywhere else though someone did mention that it tasted similar to a cheese danish so I thought perhaps it's a type of bread that I just was not familiar with and someone might have a recipe.

Thanks, but not sure the two recipes are what I'm looking for. Rather than being incorporated into the bread, the cheese seems to be a filling. Thanks though.

Could you see the distinct layers? Was it like stuffed bread?

Could you not just ask the diner people what the bread is?
