I"ll be travelling with a school group to the Science Center this month. Several of the kids have dietary restrictions. Are there any places within walking distance (about 20 min) that would offer gluten free, vegan, vegetarian, dairy free options? Are there any grocery stores that have prepared dishes like grilled meats, salads, veggie trays?
Thank you in advance.

I think your first step might be to call the on-site cafeteria and find out what the options are there. That being said, there's a Metropolitan Market right by Seattle Center that should have everything you need in terms of prepared foods.

For the future (they do not open until July) there is a new healthy kids resturant Beansprouts coming into the Seatte Center Armory. http://www.seattlemet.com/blogs/nosh-... or http://www.beansprouts.com/menu.html

Looks like they would have everything you needed. The Seattle Center is also in the process of redeveloping the food court at the Armory with more choices - so there may now be enough there. In addition to the Met Market (which is closing in July) there is also the QFC on Roy.

I think it's the Upper Queen Anne (not Lower) Met Market that's closing in July...Otherwise, F!

Correct--the Upper Queen Anne store is closing, not the lower Queen Anne one being suggested here.
