Recommendations for Colorado Springs

We will be visiting some family in July and would like some don't miss recommendations. Our
family is not very adventuresome when it comes to eating out so we would like to surprise them
with some exciting new places. Probably Mexican (authentic or close to) would be good, Chinese, good steak house, really good non-chain burger place or anything that you consider would be a
real memorable meal. Thank you for any help. We've never been there and our family has only
lived there for a short time.

The Craftwood does great game and other interesting food, but is pretty expensive. McKenzie's is good steak. Nosh does interesting small plates.

Really memorable? The Penrose Room at the Broadmoor - widely regarded as one of the best restaurants in the entire state of Colorado. (Not inexpensive, though! And dressy - jackets required for gentlemen.)

Conway's Red Top is a must. Several locations around town. Burgers unlike any other anywhere, good homemade soups and stews.
