Hull Street Blues revisited
I've been going to Hull Street Blues off and on for over 10 years. But I have to say that in the past few months over 4 or 5 visits, the food has really stepped up. The mussels have always been good and still are, but I had an excellent linguine and clam sauce dish, and a great piece of cod over flavorful palenta with crawfish and andouille sausage.
My guess is that they recently brought in some more talent in the kitchen. The menu, especially the specials, go beyond basic bar food and clearly someone in the kitchen has some Italian restaurant experience.
They do a $12 Tuesday that features about 6 dishes including a petit fillet and the linguine with clams sauce.
Anyone else notice a change for the better?
