I'm on Hodo Soy Beanery mailing list & the latest news is you can buy their tofu in bulk at some Costco - Mtn View & Richmond stores. Has anyone bought any & how much tofu is it & cost?

Redwood City Costco has the Hodo Soy Firm Tofu as well as the Five Spice Tofu Nuggets. I think the firm tofu was $5.99 or so. The tofu is very "meaty", so when we stir-fried it, one block went a long way. I didn't look at the price of the nuggets.

Richmond has Spicy Yuba Strips, Five Spice Tofu Nuggets, and blocks of Firm Tofu. Bought some recently. I think that the plain tofu was $5.25 or so for 2.25 lbs., and the flavored stuff was around $6ish for 1 lb.

say more re the kinds of you mention (obviously know Firm Tofu--but not the strips or nuggets--what do you like about each, what do you do w/ each)?

The firm tofu is more firm than you can imagine tofu getting. I needed to cook with it as a pressed tofu-- like marinating and broiling it.

I had some of the Yuba strips that were seasoned and found them quite tasty. Not sure how many flavors of Yuba Strips they have ? ( other than spicy ) Would buy that again.
