Any recommendations for an awesome all-around fish market in Orange County? I live in the south part of the county, but will go some distance for a great place.
Bonus points if you recommend a great butcher too.
Pearson's Port, Bear Flag, Dry Dock. I don't recommend Santa Monica Seafood.
Frankly, though, I buy my fish most often at Japanese markets like Ebisu and Marukai.
I believe Ebisu Market has closed.
SMSF is high, but the quality of fish is excellent. I would suggest Pearson's Port in Newport.
I also agree with Kobe about the Meat House, and I think they opened one in MV, which must be clsoer to you.
I like Santa Monica Seafood in Costa Mesa but the price is high. Just down the street is a great butcher called Meat House which carries top choice and prime beef. Both have very good quality and are pretty pricey but I have never been disappointed.
