4th of July weekend in Chicago

We will be in Chicago for the 4th and Thursday and Friday. We have reservations for Friday at the Frontera Grill and want to do all the standard foodie stops for hot dogs and Italian Beef. I dont think we are chicago pizza people. One thing I am sad I am going to miss is the Sunday Maxwell Street Market. Any suggestions where similar food might be found on the 4th? We will be staying with friend of my wife on N Halstead near the Wellington Station. We will be doing CAF tours on Thursday and Friday mornings. The rest of the time will be for walking around and doing food. Any suggestions on things to do and food to fill out our schedule. Thanks

For hot dogs, beef and Italian sausage sandwiches, you can't go wrong with Portillo's at 100 W Ontario.
