I am not a rumor manger but I have heard from a good source that din tai fung is set to open in the bay area this year. Don't know date or location yet...

I'll believe it when I taste the juices on my tongue but not before! The same rumor has made the rounds at least once or twice in recent years but so far no joy. My first and only Din Tai Fung experience still resonates warmly in my memory so I will hope, but not expect..
