Box Car Short Hills
What was once a dingy baggage room in a train station is now one of the nicer bars in NJ. Casual menu...burgers and brick oven pizzas and a few sophisticated items that hint of some experienced influence. The chicken and grits are spot on. And the bar...it's gorgeous, all exposed brick and wooden beams and sparkling flat screens. You forget you're in a train station until the express comes barrelling along. If you're taking the train, let it pass. There'll be another one and this is the perfect place to wait for it.
