La Sonrisa makes great empanadas - get the chicken one - and their pulled pork slider, if they have it, is pretty great too. Melt does great ice cream sandwiches - red velvet with cream cheese ice cream for instance - and la newyorkina does mexican style popsicles, with fruit. I think I had a cucumber mint one last summer that was excellent. Not sure about the others but you probably can't go wrong.

Thanks for the rec EBT. La Sonrisa's empanadas were excellent - we tried the beef, pulled pork and chicken curry. Patacon Pisao was also wonderful (pulled pork between crispy plantain slices). Little Muenster's gilled cheese sandwiches were addictive as well. My friends loved Melt but I didn't get to try it.

I was too full to try the other vendors but had a very enjoyable evening, not too crowded, lots of seating with alcohol available. It's a good opportunity to try a few outer borough vendors during nice weather.
