Help with Sunday dining....only 1 meal in NOLA....a crying shame!!!
We will be in NOLA in June for a wedding. Unfortunately, most of the meals are associated with the wedding. The rehearsal dinner will be at Antoine's and then dinner the next night will follow the wedding.
But, we have Sunday on our own. Really wanted to go to Clancy's as I've not been there in years, but alas, it's closed. I'm trying to decide between Galatoire's and Tommy's. Haven't been to Galatoire's in years and never on a Sunday and have not been to Tommy's. Galatoire's hours are listed as 12-10, but are they open for all 10 hours?
Is there another place we should consider? We were at another wedding in March and went to CP, Coquette & August. Loved Coquette, but I didn't think CP or August were as good as I remembered from several years ago.
Thanks for any help.
I assume Galatoire's still doesn't take reservations, right? Also, didn't they used to be cash only? If so, is that still true?
On Sundays, when do you think is the best time? I was thinking around 4 since we will need to sleep late! It would be nice to have some people watching, but I would prefer a quieter time.
They will take reservations in the new upstairs but I never go up there except for Xmas parties. They started taking credit cards years ago..for a long time they excluded Amex but I don't know if that is still the case since I never use a card in there anyway. Sunday will have the church gang until about 2:00 or so. Middle of the afternoon should be perfectly pleasant
