Upcoming Glastonbury CT restaurants?

I heard a five guys is coming to main street. Also, Max Burger is taking over former Houlihans and a food court coming to glen lochen. And maybe a pinkberry comin to somerset but I'm not sure about that. Anything else out there that I don't know about?

Also, not exactly upcoming, but the 2Hopewell guys opened Birch Hill Tavern next to Highland Park Market in East Glastonbury a couple of weeks ago, we haven't been yet though.

I didn't know that, I'll have to check it out soon. Does Birch Hill have a website? I couldn't find one when Googling around. That end of town was screaming for a good local watering hole.

In another thread about G'bury, someone said there's a sign in the old Glen Lochen mall site about a "Glastonbury Food Court" coming.

I spoke with someone at Max Amore about the Max Burger rumor and they said it was not true. The have 3 (or was it 2) restaurants in the works and couldn't possibly handle a 4th (3rd) right now. I believe it was another Max Burger in MA and another fish restaurant along the shoreline.

Ah, too bad--I would seek out Max Burger in a G'bury location far sooner than I would venture to go to WHC for the same.

Looks like Chikurin is in demo mode, know what might be going in there? I think it was rumored to be one of the burger spots. Also, just saw that Sweet Frog, a frozen yogurt place is opening this weekend, moved into the old American Paint place.

Pinkberry? Really? What IS it with yogurt these days I wonder, thought that fad died 10 yrs ago. Still can't believe a yogurt place took over gelato Guiliano

A few weeks ago I talked to the Town's Planning Director and he said there are no plans for 5 Guys to build a new place in town. They might have looked at the old Friendly's but that is about the only existing space in town they could go.

As for the Max Burger rumor, that too is not confirmed. They may have looked at the "cursed" Houlihans building but they have not formally announced nayhting. Jay
