Looking for a fun casual sit down spot in Midtown East for lunch with a new co-worker. Price isn't an issue, but I don't want anything too stuffy.
Why not go to PJ Clark's? It's a NYC landmark and has a laid back, casuel vibe for sure. It's the only PJ Clark location where I think the burgers are still fantastic.
chicago clark and division pj's has decent beef. but no oyster bar.
I enjoy Pampano (Mexican seafood) and Soba Totto (Japanese soba and yakitori) in Midtown East.
If you and your co-worker like French bistro fare, I would suggest Benoit.

Benoit is midtown west though I do like the food there
The National would be suitable for a casual business lunch in midtown east.
Oops! You're right. I confused the location with that of Ducasse's upscale Adour, which is east of 5th. However, since Benoit is between 5th & 6th, it's as close to midtown east as you can get.
