Plochman Mustard
I have run out of this delicious mustard and are having a hard time finding it. I've checked Roche Bros., Shaw's, Hannaford's, Market Basket and Stop and Shop in the Brockton area, but could not find it. I could order it online, but shipping costs are $$. Any help from CH'ers?

This is so strange to me! Plochman's is the default mustard in the midwest, those yellow barrel shaped bottles are on every shelf. I have noticed that it's hard to get much more than French's or French's-like regular sandwich mustard in most grocery stores in Boston. It's either French's, maybe a Dijon, or precious expensive glass jars.
What to do? There was something once from Vermont or New Hampshire at Market Basket that was great but disappeared after a couple of weeks. I haven't had better luck at Star/Shaw's.

This is so funny to me too—especially since there's pretty much nothing *but* Plochman's in our market in Iowa. I never even thought about the fact that it's missing it in Boston! The one that I could never find when I moved to Boston was Inglehoffer's — but I think I've even seen it at Stop and Shop nowdays...
Upstate NY is also definitely Plochman's territory— so maybe Wegmans has it?

I remember seeing it years ago at Marty's Liquors in Allston. They have since closed, but I'm reading they may have reopened in a different location, and I think they have another location in Newton. Worth a phone call?

re: mrgeocool
The Marty's in Allston has moved to 103 N Beacon St (between Arthur St & Herrick St).
The original Newton location is undergoing construction, and remain open. In fact it's just as busy as always behind the facade!
