We spend a lot of weekends in Holland, MI and are always looking for new spots to dine.
Any type of food. We love Everyday People, but it is far. Our old favorite which closed two years ago is Journeyman (now Salt of the Earth)/Fennville. We really have no favorites in Holland for anything. We would love to find a great fish fry, too. Will travel for great food.
Also looking for a great fishmonger in and around Holland for whitefish/walleye, etc?
CityVu Bistro was interesting when I had a work lunch there a few weeks ago. Intriguing selection of flatbread pizzas. I've not tried dinner. The space was nice. Might be worth a try. http://www.cityflatshotel.com/holland...
Inexpensive tasty Mexican at Lagu at Felch and 120th (Waverly Rd), not much to look at, sort of reminds me of the old Su Casa in Fennville. Menu isn't as expansive at that one though, but very good and very reasonable for large portions.
I still hear conversations re: EPC arguably being the best restaurant on this side of the state. IMO, it's worth the trip from anywhere in Holland.

I agree. And according to Google Maps, it's only 11.8 miles and 19 minutes drive from the middle of Holland. It's actually a shorter trip to drive there than to Fennville!
I have always wanted to try Fricanos Pizza http://www.fricanospizza.com
VERY limited toppings, but seem pretty unique, with the toppings all the way out to the edge, and they will cook them Well Done if you ask, or so I have been told by family who used to hail from thereabouts. It is pretty thin though so if you don't like thin pizza it is probably not for you.
They are a local family owned joint with a few locations, the one in Holland is the second location. It may be a hate it or love it kind of pizza joint.
