I love chowhound because....
So today I had a lightbulb moment. For many previous years I had relied upon Zagat and Tripadvisor as two alternate resources. I went to tripadvisor today to research Highline - and while doing so I realized how much I have come to rely upon my Chow pals so much more since I am a foodie at heart. Thank you to us all for being readily available to suggest and help!
So while tripadvisor clued me in on the area a bit ------ where should we go around the Highline area for good eats while keeping the costs lower? A few weeks ago we went for an occasion to Catch - a bit pricey. Looking for informal and fun - could be as simple as pizza (was considering the The Meatball Shop) - would enjoy outside dining - this would be for a Sunday - mid day or early dinner.

We celebrated Mother's Day at Tap Room, mentioned above. The food was delicious and very reasonable. You might look into it for Father's Day.

For pizza, I'd do Company aka Co.
Chelsea Market also isn't too expensive.
