is muscadine wine pretty much identical? where could I buy THAT?

Wow, a blast from the past...you'll likely find Scuppernong in the same fine stores where Boone's Farm, Pagan Pink Ripple, Gypsy Rose and Night Train Express are sold...which is almost nowhere these days.

"Mother Vineyard" was one of the more popular labels, IIRC.
