  1. This was the very first result from Googling (without the quote marks) "downey ca pastrami pizza"
http://downeypizzaco.com/ (which I am willing to bet can be done by anyone)

      Thanks.

      Has anyone tried it yet?

It's got to be the one, yeah, it says "Home of the Pastrami Pizza".

Indeed, and there are even prior threads on Chowhound about it. Hint: select "All Years" for the date range.

I know you can do it, kevin!!!

        2. That is the one. Still the best pastrami pizza in SoCal...if that's saying anything! I usually have to chug a gallon of water after eating a couple of slices.

          1. Alondra's (they have a location in Paramount) has a pastrami pizza, but I would never try anything like that.

Must be referring to Alondra Hot Wings?

Their entire menu is fed by SYSCO, down to the liquid "butter" for their buffalo wings. Disgusting.

                Right

                  wow.

            2. I've had Downey's pastrami pizza some years ago. I thought it was an interesting take and would certainly go back and have some again. I've seen other places (might have been Lamp Post) trying their hand at it and would say Downey's was better.

              1. I've not had it, but if you google "downey pastrami pizza" you can see it. Crust looks thickish, definitely lots of stuff piled on.

This is just plain WRONG!!!! And I thought pepperoni on a tuna salad sandwich (posted recently) was weird!
