Bellingham: Chinese restaurant to open

Let's keep our fingers crossed that it'll be decent, or dare we dream that it might even been good!

From Sunday's Herald:

The City Grill restaurant on Cornwall Avenue (near Kids Northwest) has closed for renovation. A note on the door says it is being revamped into a Chinese restaurant. The new restaurant will focus on foods from northeastern China, according to the note.

For the serious, if we had decent Chinese food from any region of China in this town I might could stay here forever.

    Fingers most definitely crossed.

Thx for the intel, Laura. Chinese is almost the last cuisine I'd expect to see in a new opening in B-ham !

Sounds exciting. I'm keeping my hopes up. Perhaps as parallel, the last 5 years have seen many northeastern Chinese/Szechuan-Hunan restos open up in Greater Vancouver as a result of an influx of new (and likely investing) immigrants from those parts of China. Reminds me of this recent local blog post:

Did the note say when they're expecting to open ?
