Sunset Cove does this in Tarrytown. It gets really packed on Friday nights, but during the week it can be realy relaxing. I think they usually have music at some point during the week, too.

Very good call with Powell's. Inexpensive pub grub and some seafood and delightful staff and ownership. I must admit, I have never eaten there (delivered something there), but the sounds coming from the inside were pretty positive. Not sure how long people tend to stay outside and doubt they have a liquor license, but not sure.
Sunset Cove is nice, but food is, eh

Powell's is very good for burgers, sandwiches, fries and other basics including decent salads. Also -- steamers! Real deal, ipswich/soft shells. Almost always steamed exactly right. No bells and whistles such as aromatics in the steaming liquid but nice sizes and fills my almost constant craving for them. I get them to go quite often and even though the somewhat busy and not at all quaint Halstead Avenue, it's pleasant enough to "eat in" on their outside deck. Haven't seen an outdoor grill going though. Did I miss something?

Last summer, Stew Leonards in Yonkers grilled and had outdoor tables. You could get burgers, hot dogs, corn, fried shrimp (not grilled), and eat outside under an umbrella. Yes, there are lots of families with noisy kids, but for a casual and inexpensive day, it was a lot of fun, and I'm assuming that they will be doing this again this summer. I hope so.

Mulligan's at Doral Arrowwood. It's on the golf course-- large grill, large bar, seating under a large awning. Open Memorial Day through Labor Day. Haven't been yet this year but I always look forward to it.
