Florence in July, Where not to eat?

My wife and I will be in Florence for 4 nights with a day trip to Lucca. I have read a lot of the comments by many contributors and they are very helpful, too many choices. I was last in Florence for a whirlwind 24 hours about 7 years ago and ended up having dinner in Fiesole.
Many people say you can not go wrong with any place you choose.. but what if? So are there some places that look inviting but from experience are just not worth it, adequate but not memorable?

Correct me if I'm wrong...but I don't think it's possible to list all of the places you should avoid in Florence. There are literally hundreds of restaurants. But if you search through these boards, you will find a short list of about 20 that all of us can pretty much agree are great.

I think you are asking the question the wrong way around....

That is helpful since many peope go by the old adage don't worry you can't go wrong. Clearly you can.
I have been to your blog and it is helpful.. we are making reservations at Due G, La Giostra and 3rd to be chosen while there. Would you have any suggestions for dinner in Lucca?
