Mexican Restaurant with Mariachi Band?

Our daughter-in-law is graduating college and her mother is visiting from Central America and we want to celebrate at a Mexican Restaurant with a mariachi Band. Food must also be good.

Other suggestions for places with good food and live music would be welcome. I don'teat seafood, so, please no places that specialize in food from the sea.

No. Mama is closed, all three of them it seems. As our search went unrewarded, we deccided to take the family to our house at the Jersey Shore and go to a restaurant down there.

I haven't been in ages, but Mexico Lindo used to have strolling mariachis - you'll want to call and see whether they still do. In my experience, it's not very common in Manhattan. Because people tend to hate it. Anyway, I have very fond memories of Mexico Lindo. It's a family place, and the food is quite good.
