Pulled pork @ Heritage Deli, Brixton Village, Brixton, London

The pulled pork was moderately moist, with a good shading of spice (fennel, chilli, cumin?), and a mildly spicy and perhaps slightly vinegary sauce, judiciously applied.. No outside brown (the cracklings which are sometimes finely chopped and mixed into the pulled pork). Great pork flavour, reflecting the superior quality of the pork here, which perhaps gives some of the 'cue here a slight edge over the American versions in at least one area.

Certainly not a rendition of the North Carolina version, but still satisfying all the same. Buns are good too, coming from Breads etc. next door and same management.

They seem to serve this on weekends only.
