Pizzeria Mozza & Chris Bianco Tomatoes
Just had Pizzeria Mozza's new pizza made with It's Bianco DiNapoli tomatoes. The California canned organic tomatoes from famed pizzaiolo Chris Bianco in Phoenix and I did not image that these tomatoes could make that much of a difference but all I can say is wow! The pizza costs a little bit more but the taste is sweet, fresh and amazingly wonderful. I had the Prosciutto di Parma, rucola, tomato & mozzarella di bufala. Just 3 ingredients in the sauce, organic tomatoes, a touch of salt and 3 basil leaves in each can. On Mozza's menu now with 3 other special tomato pizzas....
1. Mozzarella di bufala , tomato, Genovese basil & extra virgin olive oil
2.Tomato, Sicilian oregano & extra virgin olive oil
3. Napolitana: Tomato, mozzarella di bufala, olives, anchovies & fried capers.
Very highly recommended. One of the best I've ever had.

Here is a link to the LA Times story on Mozza and these great tomatoes from February.

It's actually been on the menu at least 3-4 months or so now. Someone else mentioned it in another thread a while back but I can't seem to find it. Anyways, it's delicious as you say; juicier, sweeter. Have had the margherita one twice now. Of note, it's available at the Hollywood one but still not at the Newport Beach one.
Another plus is that the asparagus al forno is back on the menu. Absolutely delicious. That means corn al forno should be making an appearance again soon.

Thanks for starting a new topic on this! I think I first had it in Feb or March.
The special pizzettes are a good second pizza to get. Last month was ramps and spring peas. Last week was spring peas and chanterelles. It's nice to get the juiciness of a tomato pie and then switch it up with the sweetness and greeness of a non-tomato based pie.
