Pearl Jalapeno Beef Frankfurters

I just tried these this week. They are incredible! Has anyone else had the pleasure? I got them at McKinnons in Danvers last week, and I just convinced Lucci's Supermarket in Wilmington to carry them...they got them in yesterday. Rumor has it that Dom's Sausage in Malden has them too and Roche Bros Supermarkets will soon. VERY tasty change from a regular dog.

  1. thanks for the tip. They sound great. Will have to make a trip to Dom's soon.

    1. I had one at Snappy Dogs in Hopkinton and loved it, so maybe Collela's sells them.

      1. J Pace's in Saugus apparently has them (pr will this week) as well.

Wow! Kind of surprised- for some reason, I thought they made their own sausages. Will have to swing by and get a few. We cooked up "regular' Pearls on the grill yesterday, and were all in agreement that we want to try the jalapeno version.

The Pace in the North End gets their sausage from Bianco & Son's in Revere. Try the pork/rabe/cheese. It's fantastic.

            Jalapeno Pearl's sound great.

Will have to try the rabe- sounds great. Love Pace's- my mother loves their mortadella.

Bianco's are my favorite sausages. I like them even more than DePascuale's, and that's saying something. Those pork/rabe are awesome.

Bianco Sausages are GREAT! Another Sausage I really love lately are made in Reading at the Olde Redding Butcher Shop on Haven St Reading. Sweets, Hots, Garlic and cheese and thier homemade Kielbasa...SO GOOD!!!

        2. Checked Restaurant Depot in Needham, which carries a fairly comprehensive line of Pearl dogz, but didn't see the jalapeno.

Update! Lucci's in Wilmington has the Pearl Jalapeno dogs in stock!!!!

          2. Can someone please alert me when they introduce a habanero version?!?!

            1. Just checked Pearl's web site and they don't mention anything about jalapeño dogs, just hot links and all-beef hot sausage. Are these actually labeled as jalapeño franks?

              1. Are these something you order at the deli counter? Thanks, they sound delicious!

                1. People have been posting Pearl Jalapeno hot dog 'sightings' on the Pearl hot dog facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/PearlMeatPac...

Albeit most of the posts are a little dated and hence they may not carry them anymore, but may be a few good leads to check out. Just keep scrolling down so more posts load and then do a 'Find' for 'jalapeno'.

I like that little market, thanks for the information.

When I went to Fred's Franks, the hot dog cart with the Big Green Egg, he had these and I tried one - spicy and tasty. I haven't been this season, but it seems like something he should offer regularly.
