i forgot the butter in the potato puffs

i realized i forgot the butter once the puffs were already formed and breaded. i am frying them in olive oil tomorrow but i thought I would put the butter in with the oil - it should be tasty but might not salvage the potato mixture totally. what do you think?

    I think we would have to see the recipe! If you made pate a choux, stirred potatoes in, and forgot the butter then yes, you are going to have issues I think.

        boiled potatoes then riced them - added herbs,eggs then formed balls, dipped in flour,egg,panko and will fry them off tomorrow.
