Dinner in Montreal this Sunday
Hello-
We are foodies coming up for the weekend and are looking someplace special to go that is open Sundays. We will be staying on Mont Royal in the Plateau. I made a reservation at La Salle a Manger but am having second thoughts based on reviews. Le Filet was my first choice but it is closed on Sundays. We love innovative food. Any thoughts?

There have been a few negative reviews of La Salle à Manger (but much more positive reviews), but I believe it is still a good option.
Other choices not too far from Mont-Royal:
Pintxo (Very good Basque tapas place),
Au Pied de Cochon is opened on Sunday, but good luck getting reservations this short notice, unless you are flexible in your time, or very lucky.
Bistro Cocagne (not especially innovative, more classical bistro fare, but pretty good)
Le comptoir Vin et Charcuterie (innovative small plates at great prices. Awesome inexpensive wine list. Maybe not that special and pretty boisterous)
