Walking/Eating/Shopping/Sightseeing from Prudential Center to North End - Boylston St or Newbury St?

  • 2

My wife and I will have about 5 or 6 hours to kill on Saturday. We're parking at the Prudential Center, and then making our way slowly to the North End. Then taking the T to Fenway.

We're looking for good lunch spots where we can sit outside since the weather will be beautiful. Although if there is a great ethnic place that;s inside, we could always get a drink outside later in the afternoon. We like all cuisine. We also like window shopping, light sightseeing, etc.

Should we take Boylston or Newbury St. for the things we are looking for?

From the North End, should we just take the T from there and connect to the green line into Kenmore Sq, or would it just be easier to walk to the closest green line station to the North End (is it Haymarket?)

Thanks!

  1. Beacon Street is lovely, but entirely residential - if you're looking for restaurants, you'll want Boylston or Newbury Streets.

This is not an either/or question - there is no other T line/station in the North End. Haymarket is indeed the Green Line station that you want.

    1. Newbury is nicer but they both have outdoor dining spots.

      Id suggest LaVoile on Newbury.
