Are all the ducks in Edmonton frozen and whole???

I need duck breasts for an elaborate dinner that my master has requested. I could easily find whole frozen ducks in Chinatown, or perhaps even Little Italy.

If I waste time thawing, butchering, rendering and making thigh confit from at least 6 fowl (this is a dinner for 12), Master will surely beat me.

What I require is a respectable vendor in the Edmonton area, capable of providing me with the required portion (12 p. duck breast) of protein required for Master's function.

You can find frozen duck breast in any Save-On-Foods :)

There is a vendor at the Old Strathcona Farmer's Market who carries duck breasts (frozen). Can't remember the name but they are along the east wall.

I had to look at quite a few places when I was last looking....apparently there is a "season" and outside of that time you will only find frozen.

The Sandy View Farms deli at the Enjoy Centre might have duck breasts. The last time I was there, they had a wide variety of meat.

yup, save on foods has them pretty regularly. Also give Care-it Urban deli a try out in the west end, if he doesn't have pretty sure he could get. Assuming they are the same as when I moved away 2 years ago.

I think most grocery stores have frozen duck breasts. I've bought them at the hampton save on foods for sure.

Check out Greens, Eggs & Ham. I live in Calgary so I'm only familiar with their booth at our local market but I know they do sell at Edmonton's market too (City Market?) Anyway, they're based out of Leduc and might have other vendors around too.
