watching sixers/celtics game sat eve in Village?

css May 24, 2012 07:57 AM

We will be staying at my daughters place in Greenwich Village and want to watch the Sixers/Celtics game in a nearby bar. (we r sixers fans , if that matters!)

Walking distance would be preferred as well as somewhere we could sit and have a bite to eat. Super casual is of course fine. Thanks!

Looks like a good bar but don't see TVs in pictures. We do want to watch the game....

Might be fun to go to Professor Thoms, a Boston bar in the east village, and brave being in enemy territory for Game 7. Would suck if the Celtics are winning, but would be a lot of fun for you if the Sixers come out on top...

Wogies is the philly sports bar in NYC. Good wings, super casual, and I believe they take reservations during the post season.

Wogies is a fun place. However, there is a bar on W 3rd st just east of 6th Ave - I believe it is Fat Black Pussycat, that might interest you. I know it is a big Eagles bar during NFL season, so I can only assume that it will be a 6ers bar this weekend.

          Good luck...
