Celebration for 10-12 out of towners, Lexington/East 47th
10-12 people, $35-$50/pers (food only), staying Lexington/East 47th so would prefer something close we could walk to and from but not necessary. Atmosphere where we can have fun without bothering anyone. Need a place for both Friday and Saturday, June 8/9. Preferably where we can make reservations.

You're actually in luck as that area has some surprisingly great choices for groups, especially if you like Japanese food. A couple places:
Sakagura on 43rd and 3rd has some great traditional Japanese, and if you ask early enough they can accomodate you in the back
A standby is Dos Caminos which doesn't exactly serve the best food but is a lot of fun for groups (pretty much right next to Gyu-Kaku)
a personal favorite (but not too scene-y so might not be good for out-of-towners) is Respite that is more of a foodie type place
total bias / plug but you can also try our service that finds bids for your event from all the midtown east restaurants that want your group at tablerepublic.com

If you don't mind Japanese style table bbq, this might be a fun place. I believe they have a private room. Their meat quality is pretty decent and should have no problem with your budget.
