Coterie Room or Quinn's Early Sunday Dinner

Need a dinner place that's open by 4 so we can return the rental car and get on our 7:40 flight. I've made reservations at Coterie, but will Quinn's be a better choice? There's a lot of gastropub/comfort food where I'm from so wherever is unique and delicious.

I considered Walrus and Carpenter but oysters are just not my favorite thing...

I'd say Quinn's, but I'm pretty sure they don't open until 5 on Sunday. Walrus has more than just oysters - I had a nice duck rillete with grilled pineapple and radish salad with foie gras butter there earlier in the week. Unless you're completely against seafood, reconsider walrus.

Coterie room is OK. Food is good, except for desserts (avoid), but the atmosphere is a little cold. The night I was there last, a band came and set up directly behind us 1/3 of the way through our meal. Not pleasant.

You've got me intrigued about Walrus again, I love seafood, just not an oyster fan. I'd love to have some foie too as it will be banned in California (supposedly) in a few months. Thanks!

Might just cancel my reservation at Coterie. Will there be a wait on a Sunday for Walrus right when they open at 4 pm?

Be there a good solid half hour ahead of time. We came close to an hour ahead of time and wandered around only to return at opening time. It was already full.

What day of the week was that? I was there Tuesday around 5:30 and there was no wait at all. Of course Sunday after the farmers market might be a different story.

Got there about 4:15 on a Sunday and didn't get seated til 6:15. Sat at the bar at Staple & Fancy from 5 til 6:15. Wish we had stayed there for dinner since we weren't overly impressed with the service or much of the food at Walrus.

Geez, that will not work with trying to get a flight....might just stick with Coterie unless you all have other suggestions for 4 PM dinner.
