Himalayan Cuisine and Bazaar

phee May 23, 2012 03:42 PM

I noticed an announcement that the Bazaar (Nepalese and Indian groceries, etc.) is now open right next to the restaurant. Has anyone visited either place?

If this is the place in La Mesa, I have been there. The food was pretty good, as I seem to recall - similar to Indian cuisine, but not exactly the same.

Thanks! We're thinking of stopping by this weekend.

Yes, I love that place! We get the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Chicken Tandoori. The momo's are interesting too if you like dumplings. I've never had them anywhere else.

Where is this? The one and only time I had Himalayan cuisine was in SF and I've never come across it here. They had a bread that was insanely good.

It's in a little strip mall right off of the 8/Fletcher Parkway

          Address:

          7918 El Cajon Blvd.
          La Mesa, CA 91941

There is another Himalayan restaurant by Sports Arena Blvd. but this place is much closer to me.
