Cupcake Liners

Has anyone ever heard of glassine material cupcake liners?
I'm trying to find a sturdy cupcake liner. I always run into the problem of finding sturdy paper liners besides foil liners. Any suggestions or recommendations or comments?

Are there any (retailer) Michael's Crafts near you? Their baking aisles carry a good deal of decorating supplies including foil liners.

What about parchment paper backing cups? Anyone ever heard of it or tried it??

Why no foil - are you looking for something sturdier, or better looking, or both?

Don't get me wrong. I do like the sturdiness of the foil cupcake liners. But the silver cupcake liners get boring when it comes to creating a look. So I am looking for something with a better look with the sturdiness of a foil cupcake liner.

My local cake supply place has foil liners in many colors (gold, red, purple, green, blue, pink, etc.), so you might look around if solid colors other than silver would do it for you.

I found a really beautiful foil liner at my supermarket. On the outside, it's a lovely white floral swirl over chocolate brown, and on the inside, it's plain, old foil. It's very sturdy, but certainly nicer than the usual silver foil liner.

Do you happen to know the name of the brand?

I just double up regular paper liners for a more sturdy liner.

Ditto, double or triple up the standard cc liner.

I've tried that also, but with some liners they second layer doesn't stay in tack after baking

There's a brand called Cupcake Creations that makes sturdier paper liners than the average thin ones. They claim you can use them on a sheet pan without a cupcake tin, though I've not tried that. They're certainly thicker and more substantial than most, though, and they peel back from the cake easily. I'm sure you can buy the brand online, but I've bought them at a local cake-supply store.

Yes I have tried those. I love them for some batters but for my moist cupcakes, they just peel away =\

Foil cupcake liners work pretty well.
