La Fabrique or Le Chien Fumant?
we be in montreal for just one night, Sunday, and i think that's what our choice whittled down to. our favs in montreal usuall garde manger, joe beef, holder, grazielle, monsieur B.
Is one better than the other, or both similar styles? I know Chien's chef is a former Joe Beef employee, if memory serves me correctly. Feedback much appreciated

I don't mind Fabrique, but it often seems like they try to cram too many favourite ingredients into every dish. The result is a menu that's dominated by muddled, conflicting flavours.
Chien Fumant, on the other hand, is one of my favourites. I'd recommend that one.

re: Fintastic
Hi,
Do you know if we are likely to need reservations at Le Chien Fumant later on a Thursday night? Or if they accept last-minute reservations? I will be stopping in Montreal next Thursday night and would love to check it out for dinner, but will have been driving back from Atlantic Canada, so I can't be exactly sure what time I will be arriving.
