Federal Way or Tacoma for the Belmont Stakes
Can anyone suggest a sports bar with good TVs and good eats where I can take two 13 year olds to see whether I'll Have Another becomes the first Triple Crown winner in over 30 years? We're going to be staying in Tacoma or Federal Way on June 9. Check-in is usually 4 pm, and post time for the Belmont Stakes will be around 3:30 pm, so we'd like a nice place to cool our jets and watch the race.

You could go to Emerald Downs and watch it in the clubhouse. This is not a very "horsey" area. Since I am from KY, I usually have a Derby Party and my friends come to see what sort of strange things they do in KY :-) but if you asked them this year what was going on on May 5 you would have heard either Cinco de Mayo or the opening day of boating season! Most hotels will let you check in a bit early with a little advance notice.
