Catering Suggestions for Birthday in Winston-Salem NC

I have a friend who is throwing her husband a birthday party in Winston-Salem with an approximate attendance of 40 people not including children. She is looking for catering options and what prices would be. Does anyone have any experience with this? She is looking to stay under $500 which I think is easily doable. Does anyone know how much it is on avg to rent out a BBQ purveyor and do a pig with some sides?

I think she is okay with taking suggestions for places that would have to come from.. say Greensboro or surrounding areas.

She mentioned Little Richard's BBQ in Clemmons.

Does it have to be a BBQ menu or is she open to other options?

No doesn't hae to be bbq. She wants something nonfussy and picnicky. but I'm taking all options and passing it along.

If it has to be barbecue, I'd go with either Little Richards in Clemmons or Prissy Polly's in Kernersville. Both will do pick-up, delivery, or full catering, and the food is very good.

If you want to consider something other than barbecue, I highly recommend O'so Eats in Winston-Salem. We've used them for several group events, sticking with pasta as it works well for a large group. Their food has gotten raves each time.
