The Jolly Oyster, a jolly treat on a Ventura beach

Over in Ventura at San Buenaventura state beach is a truck that holds a beach concession. They sell the oysters and clams that they grow in Baja. They sell two types of oysters the pacific and the Kumamoto the oysters sell for a buck each. the clams are $5 a pound. Surrounding this wonderful stand are picnic tables and bbq's so you can grill and shuck to your hearts content. It's a State beach so don't forget to bring your wine, beer and other libations they are allowed.

I like how their website has to point out that "within 400 miles" means "local".

In any case, excited about hearing about this! I've been waiting for something like the farms they have up in Tomales Bay down here in LA!
