wedding gift for vegetarians?

Friends of mine are getting married in a few months, and will go on their honeymoon to San Francisco. I want to get them a gift certificate for some sort of food / drink experience while they are in SF, but I don't know the city well enough to figure out the perfect gift on my own...

Some details:
--I'm looking to spend about $150.
--The couple are both vegetarians, but eat eggs / dairy and occasionally seafood.
--They love food, but hate anything too fancy or fussy. (i.e., the bride and I once went to Eleven Madison Park in NYC and she hated everything about it.)
--They're both big drinkers
--They love Mexican / Cajun / Thai / anything spicy
--I'm assuming they'll be staying in Union Square or near there, so it should be easily accessible from there
--They live in Brooklyn, so can definitely handle a hipstery scene.

Any ideas for a fun / exciting / memorable restaurant or cocktail bar?

Thank you so much for your help!

Slanted Door at the Ferry Building

DOSA on Fillmore - Hip upscale South Indian with great drinks.

Gitane, located in Union Square, would be great for honeymooners (sexy atmosphere, awesome drinks) but you would definitely have to be interested in seafood since menu is very limiting for vegetarians.

$150 will go a long way at Barbacco.

This looks great, but there are many similar Italian restaurants in New York. I'd love to send them somewhere with an atmosphere that is unique, special, and/or memorable. Maybe some kind of cocktail bar, or somewhere with a vegetarian tasting menu, or something else that's unique...?
