Bachelor Party Crawfish Boil

Hi, I'm heading to NOLA for a bachelor party in mid-june and wanted to see if there were any recommendations for a place to bring ~18 guys for a crawfish boil. I know it is late in the season but I thought I would ask around.

Kinda want to avoid just going to a restaurant to do it but am open to any/all suggestions.

I am sure you can find someone to sell them to you but the season is over and has been for a few weeks. Mild winter and all that. Even though it is not yet brutally hot, the shells started hardening up end of April, even for river crawfish. Shrimp or crab boil would be a better option

Any other thoughts on things to do (outside of the usual french quarter bar crawl)?

I have us going to a big dinner at cochon one night but want to have some alternatives the rest of the time we are in town.

Try contacting Shaggy at Boil, Inc. Can't find his card quickly but I'm sure you can google him. He's a good guy who does a great boil and would likely be the sort of fellow who would tell you, well, if not him, then who/what you should try next. It is late in the season, but I can never remember how the warm an/dor preceding cold affects its length. I just usually stop eating them around Memorial Day because the shells get hard and I don't care for pain!

And, BTW, you can always enjoy a seafood boil with whatever's best and/or in season. I realize the technique of eating crawfish would have a certain, well, theme conducive to a bachelor party, but you can always enjoy a good boil in Louisiana. I'm sure others will have some suggestions for you.

Also, if you have transportation you can go to the more "mom and pop" type places in River Ridge, Harahan, West Bank, etc.
