Tito's Tacos Red Salsa

I'm planning on attempting another version of Tito's red salsa this week. In doing a bit of research I'm surprised to see no mention of canned tomatoes being the main ingredient. It seems a possibility considering the deep red color of the salsa and the amount they must go through in a week. I'm just curious what others think.

  1. Try this
    1 to 2 Serrano peppers
    3 to 4 garlic cloves
    6 to 8 Roma tomatoes remove pulp and seeds
    1/8 green pepper same small onion
    Lemon juice salt cilantro to taste
    Add contents minus tomatoes to blender add tomatoes one at a time pulsating

    You couldn't get the texture from a canned tomato let me know what you think
